Dr. Pepper Cupcakes with Cherry Vanilla Buttercream

Dr. Pepper Cupcakes

So I cheated and made the cupcakes the semi home-made way.  Just take a box of Devil’s Food Chocolate Cake Mix and follow instructions by substituting Dr. Pepper for the water. And use Butter instead of Veg. Oil.  Then I added 2 Tbsp of Heavy Cream.

Cherry Vanilla Buttercream

4 1/4 C Powdered Sugar
1 1/2 C Butter (room temp)
1 Tbsp Vanilla
2 1/2 Tbsp Cherry Juice
2 Tbsp Dr. Pepper Reduction
3 Tbsp Heavy Cream

Cream in Mixer until light and fluffy 🙂 Then use Tupperware’s Squeeze it Decorator to pipe onto cooled cupcakes.

To Garnish: Dr. Pepper Jellybean 🙂
