Embracing the Benefits of Failing Forward

I’ve been reflecting more like ruminating on my life over the last decade – the personal and professional changes, discoveries, attempts, desires, mistakes, and toxic relationships that led me to lose myself in a dark valley.
I’ve tried many new ventures, including Sip & Paint Nights, Pet Portraits, Private Mentorships, and Zoom Workshops. In response to personal changes, I started a non-alcoholic beverage company and became a certified Mental Wellness Coach.
Throughout, I’ve been refining myself, starting over in some ways, and trying to survive the struggle, learning the importance of not doing something “just because I can.”
Despite failures, why is it still called “Failing Forward”? Dreams, Vulnerability, & LessonsBecause we keep getting up and learning from our experiences, adding to our toolbox to grow and improve.
Embracing the messy journey, I’ve come to realize that failing forward is about growth, resilience, and seeing every stumble as a step toward something greater. Every failure has been a lesson, every setback a push toward finding my true self and purpose.
Amid the chaos, I’ve discovered new passions and strengths. Every endeavor, successful or not, has shaped me. My journey has been a mosaic of trial and error, with each piece contributing to who I am today.
One significant revelation has been the importance of mental wellness. Becoming a certified Mental Wellness Coach wasn’t just a professional milestone; it was a personal awakening that taught me the value of self-care, mindfulness, and a positive mindset, helping me navigate the ups and downs.
Failing forward also means recognizing my limits and understanding that it’s okay to say no. The realization that “just because I can, doesn’t mean I should” has been liberating by allowing me to prioritize my energy and efforts on what truly matters.
As I continue to share tips and ideas through this new Blog Series on The Fresh Expert, I hope to inspire others to embrace their journeys with tenacity and openness. To understand that every failure is not an endpoint but a stepping stone. Above all – you are not alone in your thoughts, feelings, and frustrations.
So here’s to failing forward and the pursuit of growth. Let’s keep learning, moving forward, and appreciating the lessons along the way.
XOXO,

PS. Just because we fall, does not mean we are done. Sometimes we just need to inspect what tools we are using or in my case with this picture, wearing. I had packed the wrong shoes on this trip to Colorado. Ones with no grip and had me literally falling down the mountain! I even lost my phone at one point in the snow!
