Fresh Recipe: Chocolate Chess Pie

chocolate chess pie

My Grandmother always wants to go to the Angus Barn for her Birthday in December.  And that’s where my Family’s love for this incredible Chocolate Chess Pie began.  Just like the Pecan Pie I shared, this one is a must during the Holidays.

Angus Barn Chocolate Chess Pie

  • 1 unbaked pie crust
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 2 squares bakers chocolate (semi-sweet)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Dash of salt

1. Melt butter and chocolate, mix with other ingredients, which have been blended together.

2. Pour into a pie shell and bake 35 minutes (no longer) at 350 degrees.

3. Top with whipped cream.

How to make Fresh Whipped Cream

First you are going to need one of Tupperware’s PowerChef System or Quick Chef Pro.

Ingredients:

•1c very cold heavy cream or whipping cream (if you can find one that isn’t ultra-pasteurized, it will whip more easily)
•1 – 3 T sugar (powdered/confectioners)
•1 t. vanilla extract.
Place above ingredients in the PowerChef or Quick Chef with paddle attachment & blend til thickened.

Enjoy!
