Fresh Recipe: Herbed Butter

The grill is calling and the showpiece wants a kick!  Whether you are grilling veggie, meats or fish –  Herbed Butters are sure to take your Grill Out to the next level! Making Compound Butters are easier than you would think –  and the possibilities are endless.  From Savory to Sweet, herbed butter comes however you can imagine it.  They can be stored in the fridge for a few weeks and in the freezer for a few months.  Never let the herbs in the garden die out again.

 

Chipotle Lime
Yield: 4 tbsp.    Serving Size: ½ tbsp.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp. unsalted butter at room temperature
  • ½ lime, zested and juiced using Zest ‘N Press® Gadget
  • ½ tsp. minced chipotle pepper in adobo plus ¼ tsp. sauce
  • ¼ tsp. kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp. Southwest Chipotle Seasoning

Mold in Tupperware’s Ice Trays and then store in the FreezeIts in the fridge for a few weeks, or in the freezer up to 6 months.

 

Other amazing combinations:

Cilantro and Lime. Taco favoring anytime.  Great on Veggies or sirloin.

Mint and Lemon Zest.  This butter is great on breakfast toast, or add confectioner’s sugar and more lemon juice before adding to your lemon pound cake.

Thyme and Honey.  Think cinnamon rolls or cake frosting

Parsley and Shallot.  Great for pasta  or grilled fish.

Blue Cheese and Walnuts.  Great for steaks and your hearty meats.

 

The possibilities are endless!  If you are following Keto –  use coconut oil and freeze 🙂
